COFFY, the Central Okanagan Foundation for Youth Committee, is just
that: a committee made up of youth, who are working in the community
to serve youth focused organizations and activities. Since 2002, COFFY
has building an endowment fund, where the income generated will be used
to support youth activities in the Central Okanagan.
The members of COFFY also work as leaders throughout the Okanagan Community.
Its members have been a part of:
Kelowna’s symposium for Global AIDS Awareness Day
Global Citizenship Week
SD #23’s Link/Web Crews and student councils
In 2006, COFFY was given the opportunity to work with Community Foundations
of Canada in association with Youth In Philanthropy Canada and Heritage
Canada. The Heritage Project provided COFFY with federal funding to
be distributed in the Central Okanagan’s youth community.
COFFY would like to thank the individuals, families, groups, and businesses
who continue to support the committee and the youth of the Central Okanagan.
