Success by 6 - A Partnership Initiative for Funding Really Early Development ("FRED")

Acting Today to Positively Impact Children for a Lifetime...

The Central Okanagan Foundation is pleased and privileged to be part of United Way's Success By 6 initiative which brings together a very compassionate group called "FRED" - Funding Really Early Development, a table of investors who are supporting community initiatives that will help children get a good start in life.

FRED, facilitated by Success by 6, is a unique partnership of foundations, business, and government that fosters mutually beneficial funding partnerships for high impact early childhood development projects in the Central Okanagan.  It allows investors to build relationships while seeing how their contributions are making a difference for children.  Collaborating and pooling their time, energy and resources allows funders to achieve more effective and efficient results than they could do individually.  More importantly, with this approach children are the real winners.  

baby.jpgSuccess By 6 is an initiative that supports the work of community participants in achieving community led, community driven priorities so that children ages six or less have access to programs and services that support their healthy growth and development.  Success By 6 local initiatives focus on programs and services surrounding literacy, nutrition, child play, and parent and family support.
