Dustyn Baulkham, Chair
Dustyn Baulkham, a distinguished Executive Producer of Rebellious Unicorns Production Company Inc., boasts a notable background in finance and economic development, including roles as Workforce Development Officer in Kelowna and Executive Director at the Arts Council of the Central Okanagan. His impactful leadership as General Manager of the Kelowna Pride Society set the stage for his current role orchestrating the annual Pride Festival and spearheading Rebellious Unicorns, which has transformed 2SLGBTQ+ community events, especially with the successful Peak Pride series. Dustyn’s commitment to community enrichment has deepened with his recent appointments as Chair of the Board for the Central Okanagan Foundation and a position on the executive for the Board of Governors with Okanagan College. His accolades include the 2020 Young LGBT+ Entrepreneur of the Year award from Canada’s LGBT Chamber of Commerce and 2016 Top 40 Under 40 Kelowna, underscoring his dedication to fostering inclusivity and diversity.
Mark Brade, Vice Chair
Mark was born and raised in Revelstoke. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University in 2009, and went on to graduate with his Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops in 2015. He moved to Kelowna in 2016 and practiced at another law firm in Kelowna prior to joining Pushor Mitchell.
Mark is currently the Provincial Council Representative, Canadian Bar Association BC as well as the Co-chair of the Canadian Bar Association’s Commercial & Real Estate Okanagan branch, assisting other lawyers with continuing professional development opportunities in the Okanagan Valley. He is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association’s Nomination Committee. Mark is pleased to support the Central Okanagan Foundation as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors.
When not in the office, Mark can be found fishing, hiking, camping, or exploring the Okanagan, throughout which he is never far from his dog Duke.
Karen Hill, Past Chair
Karen Hill is the Publisher of the Kelowna Capital News and Lake Country Calendar, divisions of Black Press Group Ltd. She began her career in the newspaper industry at the Capital News in 1989 in a classified sales role quickly moving into a Group Controller position for the interior division. She spent four years as the Publisher of the Vernon Morning Star before returning to the Capital News as the publisher in 2010.
Karen began volunteering with the Central Okanagan Foundation as part of the Community Engagement Committee in early 2015 and joined the board of directors in the fall of the same year.
Graham Moir, Treasurer & Secretary
Graham is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator who, after working in Kelowna with Crowe MacKay LLP and Spence Valuation Group, is now a professor with the Okanagan School of Business. At the Okanagan School of Business, Graham leverages his experience with financial reporting, mergers & acquisitions, valuation, and strategy to build the skillsets of the Okanagan’s future business leaders. He also helps CPA Canada with the development of their educational materials and the CPA Western School of Business with the delivery of the education program.
Graham is a past president of JCI Kelowna, past regional secretary-treasurer of the JCI BC-Yukon region and past treasurer of JCI Canada. As a result of his service to JCI, he was awarded a JCI Senatorship in 2021. Having lived throughout British Columbia, Canada’s north, and the Philippines, Graham is happily settled in Kelowna where he enjoys sailing, cycling, and skiing with his wife, family, and friends.
Marni Adams, Director
Marni was born and raised in Vancouver, moved to Calgary where she met her husband, and spent some time in the Kootenays before landing in Kelowna in 2006 with their son, Dylan.
Shortly after that, Marni joined the team at the BC SPCA Kelowna location, working in fund development. This position became a regional role and eventually she was working with all 36 BC SPCA locations around the provinces on their annual fundraising campaign and goals. After leaving the BC SPCA (with a little rescue named Marley), she spent the next few years with the YMCA, CNIB, and the South Okanagan Women in Need Society, again in a fund development capacity. Today, Marni offers contracted services and is currently contracted by two local charities: Okanagan Humane Society and South Okanagan Women in Need.
Marni loves staying active as Dylan is now 17 years old, playing AAA Midget hockey. She enjoys doing boot camps, hiking, biking, camping, skiing, and travelling.
Kim Inglis, Director
Kim has long declared herself to be Kelowna’s biggest fan and is proud to finally call it home. She is the founder of Inglis Private Investment Counsel, a financial advisory practice within Raymond James Ltd., where she collaborates with families to achieve their financial goals. Kim is regularly requested for interviews as a media commentator with appearances on BNN Bloomberg, CBC, and CTV News. Kim is also a financial columnist whose work has been featured in most of the country’s major newspapers, including the Financial Post and The Globe and Mail.
Kim is also a board member with the Central Okanagan Land Trust and is involved with numerous charitable groups and non-profits. In her spare time, Kim can be found enjoying all the great trails that Kelowna has to offer with her horse and dog.
Andrew Greer, Director
Andrew is the Managing Director at Purppl, which enables social entrepreneurs and impact leaders to build regenerative enterprises and initiatives that address systemic inequity. Andrew is also the BC Interior Lead, board member, and co-owner at Thrive Impact Fund, which invests in and supports impact organizations and social enterprises across British Columbia that are generating positive social, environmental, or cultural benefits. Prior to starting Purppl, Andrew led programs and partnerships at Accelerate Okanagan, the Okanagan Valley’s tech accelerator. He was also a top Canadian sales manager for Xerox. He has diverse experience working in, starting, and serving as a Board member to nonprofits, co-ops, and social enterprises.
Daryl Hooley, Director
Daryl is a Chartered Professional Accountant with a Masters of Business Administration. Daryl is currently a Senior Manager with KPMG, having worked as a tax professional for 38 years. Daryl has held senior positions with the Government of Canada in the Canada Revenue Agency and the Department of Finance, retiring from government in 2015.
Daryl was born in the south Okanagan, before moving to Lake Country in 1992. After spending approximately 20 years in Ottawa and Toronto for career reasons, Daryl returned to the Central Okanagan. In his spare time Daryl likes to play pool and hike and is an avid golfer.
Kim Logan, Director
As the CEO of Logan’s Clear Vision Consulting Ltd., Kim is committed to enhancing energy sustainability initiatives in Canada and the United States. With over 15 years of expertise in energy and environmental attribute consulting, I have refined my skills in energy strategies, project development, and green power initiatives. Receiving accolades for notable projects like the Aquatera Landfill Gas-to-Energy Project. My professional journey included being an energy manager at one of the world’s largest forest companies.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I am involved with the Northwestern Alberta Foundation, where I served as a founding member, director, and donor to a field of interest endowment fund and now continuing my support as a member of the Financial Stewardship Committee. This engagement resonates with my commitment to governance, financial stewardship, and community development. Additionally, my tenure as President, Vice President, and Director at the Grande Prairie & District United Way reflects my dedication to making a positive impact.
I have now relocated to West Kelowna with my wife, Jeanine, and our feline companions, Leo, and Lilly. Exploring the beauty of Kelowna and its surroundings has become a cherished pastime. Outside of work, my interests include indulging in my passion for travel—particularly to Mexico and on cruises. During leisure moments, you will find me immersed in reading, catching up on favorite shows, or enjoying delightful dining experiences.
With a BCom and an MBA, I look forward to contributing my community foundation expertise to the Central Okanagan Foundation, fostering positive change, and building a legacy of positive community impact.
Anita Parker, Director
Anita Parker is a dynamic force in the realm of personal development, carving her niche as a Coach and Speaker with an unwavering commitment to empowering others and creating lasting impact. As a multi-passionate entrepreneur who currently runs the Kelowna / Fort McMurray branch for Wine Women Well-Being and runs business in the hospitality sector in Northern Alberta, she seamlessly weaves her diverse skills and experiences into a tapestry of inspiration and creating space for other to be seen and heard. Anita is actively contributing to the wellbeing of others through supporting various causes and making a positive impact on society by addressing social issues and improving the lives of those in need.
Doug Rankmore, Director
Doug holds a Masters Degree in Psychology from Wilfred Laurier University specializing in research and evaluation. Doug spent several years as the Director of Research for the Ontario March of Dimes and as a research consultant at West Park Hospital before moving over to positions in community and organizational development with CMHA Ontario Division, and later as Executive Director for the Coordinating and Advisory Council of York Region.
After re-locating to BC in 1991, Doug led a consulting practice for 10 years prior to joining Braintrust Canada as CEO. Before “retiring” in 2022, Doug’s last 11 years of his career were spent as CEO of the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation raising funds for healthcare in the southern interior.
Doug has served in numerous volunteer positions including the TELUS Interior and Northern BC Community Board, ICBC’s President’s Advisory Committee on Disability, the Board of the Brain Association of British Columbia, Chair of the Central Okanagan Access Awareness Team, and most proudly 17 years as an on-call firefighter with the Wilson Landing Fire Department.
Doug now shares a consulting practice with his wife Shelagh focused on providing practical support for leaders, communities and organizations that support people to live their best lives possible.
