REACHING HOME GRANT

The Central Okanagan Foundation in collaboration with the Community Advisory Board on Homelessness is accepting applications for funding under the Reaching Home Designated Communities funding stream.
 
The Central Okanagan Foundation serves as the Designated Communities Community Entity (CE) for City of Kelowna through an agreement with the Government of Canada. The Community Entity supports the delivery of the Reaching Home program and is responsible for leading sub-project solicitation processes in collaboration with the Community Advisory Board on Homelessness.

Reaching Home, launched in 2019, is a community-based program aimed at preventing and reducing homelessness across Canada. This program supports the goals of Solving the Housing Crisis: Canada’s Housing Plan and the National Housing Strategy and provides funding and support to urban, Indigenous, territorial and rural and remote communities to help them address their local homelessness needs.

Under Reaching Home, the Government of Canada works with communities to deliver projects based on community priorities and data with clear outcomes.

The Central Okanagan Foundation in the role of the Designated Community Entity is pleased to announce an additional two years of Reaching Home funding. Organisations must be working towards the Reaching Home Directives and apply for Eligible Activities.

April 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027: $1,899,000

April 1, 2027 – March 31, 2028: $1,899,000

Applicants are invited to submit project applications for up to a maximum of $250K per year for a duration of two years. The maximum size grant available will be $500K for April 1, 2026 – March 31, 2028.

Applications will open on October 22^nd.

Applications will be received until November 21st at noon. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered.
